Papers of Charles Wright, 1853-1871 (inclusive).

Includes mostly materials relating to Wright's collections while on the North Pacific Expedition and the U. S. Commission in Santo Domingo. North Pacific papers include a journal; notes on plants collected during the expedition and immediately after, in Nicaragua; unpublished manuscript on plants in Japan (in Asa Gray's handwriting); and notes on Cape of Good Hope plants by William Henry Harvey. Santo Domingo papers contain draft of unpublished manuscript, 1871, "Flora Domingensis" with letter from D. C. Eaton and notes by Daniel Oliver.
